Karnataka, India - New Believers Threatened And Beaten-Up; Some In Critical Condition: Dear Saints in the Lord, Greetings to you from Arsikere, Karnataka in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! By the grace of God, we are keeping fine. Our Lord is blessing the ministry in a wonderful way. I am writing this note to share some grave problems we are facing these days and we wish all the saints who read this to pray without ceasing. One of our out station work is in a place called Nagarajapura which is about 25 kms. from Arsikare. Three families have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ from this small village and was baptized and they were in fellowship with our Assembly in Arsikere. Since last one year they were facing oppositions from anti-Christian elements and they were under threat of ex-communication (ooruvilakku) from the village chief and others.

Last Friday on the 19th of October, 15 people came with stick and mercilessly beaten these believers and even women and children were not spared. These believers have given the last warning to voluntarily to go away from the village , otherwise they will do it by force, they threatened. These 3 families were admitted in the hospital. Some are in a critical stage. Urgent prayer is requested.

Another village is Vasanth Kodi. There are 9 believing families in this village. On Monday morning some people from a religious outfit threatened them to denounce the new found faith. However these families stood united strong in the Lord . One of the brothers in this village has purchased a small piece of land for building an assembly hall. We are now gathering the construction materials. As it is not possible to gather in any homes or open ground, a small hall is a must. Please pray for this village and all the believers and also for the construction work.

Our children home and 14 children are keeping fine by the grace of God. Please continue to pray so that we could bless them with good education and a spiritual childhood.

Thank you for remembering us and the ministry here in Arsikere. God bless you all for being a blessing to us. In His Majesty's Service,
