Week of March 25 through April 7, 2013
Pennsylvania – Bill Hulshizer
We have one inmate who recently got saved after 69 years of being an atheist. It is amazing what our God can do. He has no limits. We are guilty of putting limits on Him.
ECS Ministries – Darlene Fizer
Thank the Lord for a good response to some of the ECS booklets at the ladies' seminar this past weekend here at Emmaus. Pray that the Lord will use them in the lives of the women.
ECS International Coordinator – Jim Fleming
This weekend (March 29-31) pray for Jim as he leads 7 sessions at a camp for one of the Assemblies in Bogota. Sharon has 2 sessions with the ladies.
April 4 to April 6, pray for additional training sessions in Venezuela. Jim will be meeting with local church leaders to promote ECS, a graduation of students, and a special teaching evening where he will introduce the 1 Peter course that they will take home to complete. Pray for many new students to enroll.
Vietnam - Mr. Kim
“We are continuously translating the ECS books.” They have a good series of courses, but distribution is very difficult in that very restricted country. Pray for a miracle in finding a networking system of distribution that allows the school/grading/discipleship system to function.
India – KC Jacob, National Coordinator
Much intersession is needed for Mr. Jacob as he has the enormous task of coordinating the 17 language ministries all over the sub-continent of India. Some need revamping, others are just starting, all need more translations, and finances are a huge concern. Pray that we in the WEST will be moved by the Lord to send gifts to ECS USA designated for ECS India.
South Africa - Marlon Govender
Wisdom and strength to complete the mail because once the mail system is back on track we will get a huge backlog delivered and have to catch up.
New Jersey - Greg Kuras
I have just begun a monthly Bible study at a prison for pre-release inmates using How to Succeed on the Streets. We have 2 hours at each meeting. At the first meeting, we went over the gospel. I felt the Spirit leading, and the men (about 35) were responsive and enthusiastic. May the Lord bless.
Some of our correctors are getting up there in years. Pray for clear minds, and sound comments. One young lady has recently joined us, and is a great help.
Please remember Chaplain Larry Akins at East Jersey State Prison. He has me out every couple of months, and I'm getting to know the men. 200 guys in a meeting every time!
New York – Jeff Hage
Pray for a prisoner named Floyd. Who has been transferred to another prison and is going through a very difficult time, which is causing a lot of discouragement.
Pray for us to have better time management.
Praise for another family that has joined us and helps us grade courses.
Rhode Island – Gary Davis
You can pray for my wife (Dawn) and me as we have been working through the struggles of having a blended family. God has brought people and ministries into our lives to teach us how to deal with certain things as well as to work together for God’s Glory. We have made great strides in the past month but Satan is always at work to destroy the family, so please pray that Dawn & I keep our eyes on the Lord and each other.
